the golden rule

i've heard it a millions times...treat others the way you want to be treated. i know when i was little, i probably would roll my eyes at my mom every time she would tell me, but i'm glad she did. these past few years, i've realized something's been missing...i would give and give and give and never really get anything in return, or what i thought i deserved. i came to think, or convinced myself that that was ok. i always KNEW in the back of my mind how i SHOULD be treated, but didn't believe it would be possible.

well...i finally have gotten a taste of what it's like to be treated the way i've treated people i care about...with respect, with loyalty, with thoughtfulness, with time. AND it's unreal to me, but it's soooo nice!!!
