what to say...

this past week, i've had a hard time figuring out what to say when people ask me about andrew, or my marriage, or my living situation or anything surrounding the subject of my separation. it's especially hard when i know people don't know what's going on (like at work). i've tried really hard to keep my personal life away from my working environment, but i find it's difficult to "beat around the bush" when coworkers ask about andrew. for example, yesterday, someone asked if andrew found a job yet and my reaction was "i don't know..." and they looked at me like i was crazy. why wouldn't i know if my husband found a job yet?? so i tried to cover it up and say that he's still pursuing options. a few nights ago, this girl i went to college (who i haven't seen in probably 2 years) asked how married life was...i seriously couldn't answer her. my first response wanted to be "it's terrible!!!!!! NEVER get married" but then that would bring on questions i'm not sure i want to be confronted with, especially with someone i never really see. but should people really know what's going on?? i mean, my situation isn't going to go away tomorrow, or the next day or even months from now...sooooooo, what do i say? i think part of me is embarrassed or ashamed for some reason that my life has hit this point, this point of betrayal, hurt, the unknown of what the future holds. i feel like i had so many hopes and dreams ahead of me two years ago, and now what?? i'm in a position i never imagined being in. don't get me wrong, i'm so blessed in a lot of ways for the opportunity to grow from this experience...grow closer to God, grow in my independence, grow into a stronger person, sure of what i want and God wants for my life, but still, it's all a little scary and i'm apprehensive to let people know my "secret." so there you go...still not sure how to respond but i'm working through it...praying God will give me wisdom and the right words to say at the right time.
