the last three days have been absolutely BEAUTIFUL in san diego...and i have soaked it all in (just ask my mom). it's so great to be able to make decisions just for myself right now...if i want to go to the beach, i'll go to the beach, if i want to eat veggies, i'll eat veggies. i feel like i'm finding myself again...if that makes any sense. i feel like i can breathe on my own, i feel like i'm finding strength and confidence in myself...i feel like i'm now treading water in this storm instead of sinking. anyways, back to the beach...it's such a calming place to be. listening to the waves hit the shore and looking all the way down the beach to see the rhythm continue. i also enjoy "people watching." seeing the little kids splash around in the waves, or run frantically away from the water...seeing families interact and create memories. it's nice to just zone out, or daydream, for awhile and soak up God's creation!
even though i feel so far away from family, i'm thankful God gives me moments of growth and reassures me everything will be alright
"When my life is like a storm
Rising waters all I want is the shore
You say I'll be ok and
Make it through the rain
You are my shelter from the storm..." (from "Hope Now" by Addison Road)
