mother's embrace

this past week, i finally went HOME to colorado for some much needed family time. the anticipation of seeing my mom was building for weeks, even months, since my life collapsed in january, so let's just say, when i finally saw my mom, the world stood still for a few moments while i melted into her arms and sobbed like a broken child. i didn't feel like a 25 year old adult, i felt like a little girl running to my mom, just for her to hold me and tell me everything will be ok...and actually believe her. it was good to be home...where i was surrounded with love and support and rest and renewal.

i'm blessed to have other "moms" in my life who love me as their own and i was blessed by the time i got to spend with them during my trip home to colorado: home cooked meal, wine and dessert with debi, wine with barb, and a wonderful lunch with kay...their understanding and support for me and my life is amazing and i'm sooooo happy i got to see them while i was home.

i saw young mom's embrace their children and show them the most pure love...tara with aj and vivy, kacy with her 3 little ones as well as her little boy on the way, tracy with birthday boy luke and her new little baby, josh. these little children have the whole world a head of them, and they TRUST their mom's to be there for them if they fall down and scratch their knees...if they climb a ladder all by themselves, they want their mom's there cheering them on. i don't know where i would be without the love of my mom.

  1. Oh Lisa . . . just when I thought I couldn't cry anymore! You make me proud to be your mom and you're right about time standing still at the airport. I felt the same way. I'm thankful to have such good friends who have become your "other mothers" as well. Please come home again soon for some more love, support, rest and renewal! It is unconditional and you need it now more than ever. Proverbs 23:18 says, "There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off." Keep seeking God's Word for wisdom, discernment, and revelation and remember your family and extended family will ALWAYS be there for you!
Love you so much my precious daughter,
    Mom
