on monday morning, i called up the company and registered...and the last thing i asked the guy before i got off the phone: "soooo, if i get in an accident today, i'll be covered right?" not really sure where that question came from, but he reassured me that i am covered.
i don't know how i made it this past year without benefits, well, i do...my God's amazing grace and protection, of course. but looking back, i was taking a HUGE risk. i mean, anything could've happened. i should've at least had emergency coverage or something. but i made it, thankfully.
now i'm just waiting to get my insurance cards in the mail, and then it'll be time for my much-needed check-ups. i cannot WAIT to go to the eye doctor. even when i was married to andrew and we had coverage, we didn't have vision coverage because he had perfect eyesight and didn't see the importance of it, but it's important to me, plus krysten needs her glasses back (i've been borrowing hers for the past 7 months or so).
this is just one more component to add to my new, independent life!!
